OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide a focus for the economic, cultural and social development of Ngāti Porou ki Hauraki.
TE RŪNANGA Ō NGĀTI POROU KI HAURAKI
Te Rūnanga ō Ngāti Porou Ki Hauraki is the elected body that represents Ngati Porou Ki Hauraki iwi. The Runanga is a duly incorporated society pursuant to the Incorporated Societies Act 1908.
The body is made up of an Executive Committee, a Kaumatua Council, a Trust body and Whakapapa Committee.

Kaumatua Council
The Kaumatua Council is made up of recognised Kaumatua in our community, it has an advisory role to the Runanga Executive, and in particular plays an important part in maintaining Tikanga, te reo and important cultural aspects of our community.
NPKH Trust
The NPKH Trust is a duly constituted trust pursuant to the provisions of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957. The members are appointed by the Runanga Executive and are responsible for managing the iwi’s funding and assets. They are responsible to the Runanga Executive and it is their job to implement the decisions of the Executive. The Trust reports regularly to the Executive on their activities.

Whakapapa Committee
The Whakapapa Committees is responsible for checking membership eligibility and maintaining the register of members.
NPKH Marae Committee
The Ngati Porou Ki Harataunga Marae Committee is made up of nine Ahi Kaa representatives from the local community.
